The Committee of Concern: The Social Engine of River View Towers

The Committee of Concern is the social engine of River View Towers. Our mission is community togetherness and support. We have fun and provide a variety of social outlets that bring our 626 community together. We also raise funds throughout the year for our annual scholarship fund which assists the youth of RVT to continue their education after high school. 

Prior to the pandemic, the Committee of Concern hosted annual senior dinners, holiday parties and supported fellow shareholders who lost loved ones with expressions of sympathy, care and concern, whether it be by sending flowers, or hosting a repast in our community room. 

As we resume our bi-monthly meetings (via zoom as well as in person) and move through our Capital Projects, the Committee of Concern is now aiming to build back our community by revamping our social gatherings in a safe space. We had a short, safe holiday social in the lobby last December (2023). We are also considering hosting events like “Game Night” and “Movie Night” in the lounge.

 The Committee of Concern is also restarting the beloved Coffee Clutch, newly named “Coffee & Conversation” on Wednesday, 2/7/24, 9:30-11:30 in the lounge.
