Power to (and from) the People

Thanks to the hard work of the RVT Community Relations Committee (CRC), our elected representatives and those aspiring to represent us have, once again, begun to make the trek to 626 to tell us about themselves and their plans to serve our community. They also are getting to hear from us, and they are getting an earful. RVTers pressed candidates on their stances and on their plans to address a wide range of issues including preservation of truly affordable housing, services for seniors, healthcare, neighborhood safety, Columbia’s expansion northward, and more.

The candidates all pledged to keep coming back to RVT after the elections whether they win or lose. The continuing work of the CRC will ensure that the large block of voters housed at RVT will increasingly be on the radar of our public officials and others whose work both impacts the quality of our lives and whose ability to serve us depends on our cooperation and our votes.
