Luckily for us, UHAB is now providing free trainings and support to HCR-supervised Mitchell-Lama co-ops — River View Towers is one! — to foster their physical, financial, and organizational well-being. HCR recently selected UHAB to help nonprofit affordable housing providers reduce insurance costs and protect long-term affordability for residents — that’s us! HCR is providing co-ops like ours with support from UHAB, if we choose to accept that help. There is no better time than now to run for the board of directors! Even if you cannot commit the time to serve on the board right now, register for UHAB’s webinars now while they are being offered. They are open to ALL Mitchell-Lama cooperative members. As members of a Mitchell-Lama cooperative, each of us must educate ourselves on these topics for ongoing successful operation and long-term preservation of RVT.
