In 2026 New Yorkers will vote in elections that shape leadership at the federal, state and city levels. For RVT families, our New York County districts with elections are: Congressional District 13 and Assembly District 70. Why vote? Why is the primary election so important? Because in New York City, generally, whoever wins the June primary goes on to run in the general election in November. So if you don’t vote in the June primary, you allow other people to decide who can represent you. Look on this list (pages 2-15) for who is running (so far) this year to represent us in our Congressional District 13 and Assembly District 70. Find out more about each of the candidates’ positions so you can choose who you want to represent you.
The next election in New York is the New York Primary Election on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Statewide more than 1,152 positions are up for election. Following this election, the New York General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
